BMW has created a new niche for a new 2 door compact car known as the new BMW 1 Series, critics always say that there weren't any place in the market that is right for this car, but of standing for the second year it looks like BMW is proving them wrong, as a matter of fact this BMW 1 series attracts more peoples attention than the lineup of cars which is to be its competitor such as the Infinity G37, VW Eos, Mazda RX8 or even the Lancer Evolution, just take a look at the exterior and interior designs of this car then you'll see that it is far more superior than the said lineup, and you definitely won't be disappointed in its power for it uses the same powerful engine as of their 3 series, I guess the only downside of this car might be just the price.

BMW 1 Series is a Rear wheel drive that offers 2 types of engine, for the 128i is a 3.0 liter inline 6 that produces a 230 horsepower and 200 lb ft. of torque that dashes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, while the top of the line model 135i is equipped with a twin turbo 3.0 liter inline 6 engine that produces a powerful 300 horsepower and a 300 lb ft. of torque that dashes the 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds and 5.5 seconds for the convertible it has a limited top speed of 155 mph , all BMW 1 Series are equipped with a standard 6 speed manual transmission, and an optional 6 speed automatic with manual shift control is also available in all levels.

BMW 1 Series fuel economy, for a 128i coupe with a manual transmission is rated at 18 mpg city drive and 28 mpg in the highway, only slight difference were made when it is equipped with an Automatic Transmission, on the other hand the 135i coupe with the manual has a 17 mpg in city and 25 mpg in the highway.
