At last our long awaited 3rd generation SLK has been finally introduced, this is the official 2011 Mercedes SLK it is the newest roadster of Mercedes released just after the 2011 Detroit motor show. From the looks of its design we can see that the idea came from both the CLS and SLS combined, the interior was inspired by the SLS design, the exterior design such as the front wings and the bonnet are made from aluminum for the purpose of improving its weight loss and an even weight distribution.

On the roof, this 2011 Mercedes SLK still sticks to its popular 2 piece folding metal roof, and with just a click on the Magic Sky control panel, the opaque roof you have turns into a transparent roof in which you can enjoy the view of an open air without the blow of the wind in your hair.

The All new Mercedes SLk offers a couple of engine trims all petrol powered direct injection technology with a stop/start system. The base model SLK 200 comes with a standard 6 speed manual transmission with an option of an automatic box is equipped with a 1.8 liter four pot that produces a 181 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 7 seconds and pushes a top speed of 147mph. While the SLK 250 and SLK 350 is equipped with a standard 7 speed 7G tronic transmission, with the SLK 250 producing a 201bhp and performs 0 to 62mph in 6.6 seconds and gets a top speed of 150mph, and until the AMG swoops in, the current top in line would be the SLK 350 equipping a new generation 3.5 liter V6 engine that comes with a 302 horsepower while accelerating a 0 to 62mph in 5.6 seconds and slides a top speed of 155mph, this new engine is 25% more efficient than its previous model.

Mercedes SLK Supercars will be on the market in June 2011 in UK. Prices are yet to be announced.
