Supercars | Porsche Cayenne Supercars

WhenPorsche Cayenne it comes to top SUV's, there are a lot of choices to choose from and for me Porsche isn't one of them base on their previous Porsche Cayenne, obviously it is too expensive for its NO IMPACT appearance even if it performs well I'd choose BMW or Audi over the Cayenne, Supercarsbecause they perform equally yet their designs are off to the luxury car levels, Porsche Cayenne is just terrible and a complete disappointment to me.

After I've heard that there's going to be an all new 2011 Porsche Cayenne 2, I was quite excited to look at this unit hoping that Porsche automakers learned their lesson on SUV's and to tell you the truth, this new Cayenne looks way better than their previous model but it ain't enough to overpower its adversaries, just a bit of advice for the automakers it's fine if they'd wanted to make a trademark look over their sports car models, but trying to put a face of their Carrera over an SUV is just terrible, anyway let's just focus the review on the New Porsche Cayenne's specs.

The entry level of this 2011 Porsche Cayenne is equipped with a 3.6 liter V6 engine that produces a 300 horsepower nothing less that we expect from a Porsche, the next model comes with the "S" badge is equip with a 4.8 liter V8 engine that boost a 400 horsepower and the top of the line Cayenne Turbo the name saids it all they've manage to add a twin turbo which can blast its way to a 500 horsepower and the great news is that this new Cayenne models are equipped with an improve engine making it more powerful and best of all, fuel efficient, they say it consumes 20 to 23% less fuel than the previous Cayenne.

Another intriguing model to be release is the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid that has a 3.0 liter V6 engine that produces 333hp combined with a small electric motor that contributes a 47hp making it have a total of 380 horsepower and the thing that impressed me the most about this model is that this Hybrid could run up to 64km/h using only its electric motor, so I think this is the model we should watch out for.

Supercars | Nissan Leaf Supercars

NissanNissan Leaf hopes to save the world with its new invention the new Nissan Leaf, the name speaks for itself Leaf meaning green friendly, this car is non petrol or diesel it is solely powered by electric charge Li-ion battery, electric car of course does not have tailpipes which reduces air pollution, and for the battery disposal Nissan plans to make a project that will recycle and reuse old batteries, looks like they've had it all planned out for saving the world, Supercarsbut would it be enough to replace today's petrol powered car?

Although countries want to support the Nissan Leaf project prices still isn't that affordable first announced to be around £28,350 and after being granted by UK government it dropped to £23,350 still expensive compared to our present vehicles, performance wise, Nissan Leaf can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 11.5 seconds and produces a top speed of 90mph, it's not the fastest car in world but it's already enough for everyday practical use, and more to it the Leaf accelerates incredibly smooth and runs silently even more quiet than the luxury cars today the only noise you'll hear is the artificial sound made to warn pedestrian that the vehicle is approaching, Nissan Leaf is agile it can turn sharp turns easily, it also doesn't idle, so performance wise, this is a good car.

What about the distance traveled with one full charged battery? thanks to Nissan's joint venture with NEC creating a new lithium ion battery that could double the energy storage of the older Li-ion batteries which can make the Nissan Leaf last a 100 mile run which is clearly enough for us to reach a refilling station for a recharge, now here's where another problem kicks in, other than the price, the charging time would take 8 hours from an empty battery to a full charge, now how convenient is that?! it would take almost half a day to get a full charge unlike the petrol powered vehicles of today which you can get a full tank in less than 10 minutes, so it means that you can only use this Nissan Leaf every other day now that's totally uncool.

Hearing ambitious automakers creating new technologies that could save the world is totally awesome, but this Nissan Leaf only proves that this kind of technology still isn't perfect, and with the knowledge we have today showing it only speaks that we have many more years to wait for us to have the technology to replace petrol powered car.

Supercars | Audi R3 Supercars

ItAudi R3 is unexpected but this is just came up, Audi is planning to release a fantastic new entry level sports car known as the Audi R3, just when we thought the R4 is the new one, this R3 happens to appear and takes its place.

Of course this Audi R3 will be co-developed with Volkswagen, and their new objective was to take on Mazda Miata MX-5 with Audi R3's newly equipped 4 cylinder engine taking on MX-5 won't be a problem.

The TT was known to be Audi's entry level sports car today, which critics usually claim that the car was just a VW Golf that has been reskinned and overpriced, now with this new Audi R3 accusation like that will no longer take place, since this vehicle would be a mid-engine sports car that would cost around a conservative €25,000 to €45,000 price range.

AsSupercars for the engine of this Audi R3, they would put together a level of R3's which would consist of a 1.8 liter TFSI motor producing a 180bhp, a 2.0 liter version that produces a 220bhp and Sports model that would crank up 280bhp, TDI Diesel engines have been popular today so they might also put a lineup for diesel engines from a 1.6 liter common rail that would have a 125bhp to a 2.0 liter that produces a 170bhp and a 204bhp.

I guess the automakers learned their lessons not to take on Porsche's Boxster, they've been very cautious even with their release dates avoiding Boxster's all new 2010 model so expect Audi R3 to start it's production on 2013 or later.

OnSupercars the semi supercars category there is no other car that enters peoples mind other than the Porsche Boxster, and we have to admit that this is totally a cool car but it ain't perfect yet, but as time goes by Porsche was able to make the perfect boxster and it is the 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder, this is by far the best looking Boxster ever made this isn't just a facelift over their previous model, instead it's an all new 3rd edition in the Boxster lineup and as far as performance and power is concerned this Boxster Spyder is way beyond their previous models.

TheBoxster Spyder most noticeable changes made in this Porsche Boxster Spyder is the convertible top, finally they've decided to make it look tough with a light weight 2 piece that stretches over the top instead of their ridiculous traditional power top and the unique rear deck gives it an even more striking appearance, other changes are also made including a shorter side windows, unique lightweight 19-inch wheels, twin tailpipes painted black, and a fixed rear spoiler.

As for the Performance the best modification made for this Boxster Spyder was the light weight scheme, taking out 176 pounds, and equipping it with a stiffer shocks and shorter springs that lowers the ride by 20mm, Boxster Spyder also comes with an anti roll bars and a locking differential.

Supercars | Car Stall Common Case

TheCar Stall common causes for a car to stall, it is very important to know these causes for it will happen to us eventually, there are a lot of factors that could cause a car to stall, but the good news is those factors aren't that serious and can be fix by just adjusting or replacing minor parts of the car.

Of course older modeled vehicle is a lot easier to fix, sometimes you won't even need to bring it to an expert to fix it, on the other hand newer models that are computer controlled are out of the beginners league with this kind of car at stake we'd advice you to take it to a shop to fix it.
Otherwise here are the common causes for a car to stall:

NoSupercars gas being ignited in the cylinders, this commonly happen when you run out of gas or it might be because you are lacking electrical charge (you might want to check your alternator and battery)

The timing of your distributor, you might need to adjust the timing of your distributor if you car idles roughly and stall, it could also be a Bad fuel injector, if your car is fuel injected, this means that the injector might not be working, electrical failure might also be considered the problem or it could be the idle control motor that controls the air mixture.

You might also want to consider changing the wires and plugs of the distributor sometimes wires lose contacts overtime, this could also be part of you car maintenance even if it didn't solve the stalling problem this procedure can help your car perform better.

Fuel Filter Clogged, you might need to change your fuel filter there's nothing to worry about when this occurs fuel filters are cheap and easy to replace almost any service gas station could help you with this you can even do this yourself as long as you know where your filter is located. (Common signs that lets you know that your filter is clogged is if your engines performance change when you drive on steep roads up and down)

Car Stall could also happen when the Idle speed adjustment is too high only happens to carburetor vehicle, common signs that shows this problem is when you turn off the key and your car still runs for a few seconds.

Air ventilation blockage in your tank, also only happens to carburetor vehicle, it might be because you've replace your gas cap with a cheap replacement cap that blocks air from ventilating in the tank, you could fix this temporarily by drilling a small hole in the cap to allow air to enter through the drilled hole. (Tip: when your car stall and you know your gas cap isn't original you can try opening it and when you hear a air whoosh sound then this might be the problem why your car stalled, while the cap is still open try starting your car again a few times and it might start)

As far as a fuel injected car is concerned you should keep an eye on a few parts that normal maintenance forgot to mention aside from changing oil, spark plugs and filters it's also important to replace a new Oxygen sensors at 100k miles and the mass air flow sensor should be check or cleaned once in a while these will prevent your car to stall and it will also boost your vehicles performance and fuel economy, another thing you should keep an eye out is the idle air control valve it might also cause your car to stall when it is stuck up overtime so you'll need to grease it up with WD40 in that case.

Always remember fixing a car is a dangerous task so make sure that your engine is turned off when you attempt to fix anything and make sure you wear a protective gear like gloves and protective eyewear, because you wouldn't want any bloody accidents to happen.
