Supercars | Mercedes 63 AMG Supercars

Themercedes 63 amg new Mercedes 63 AMG CLS is getting closer to being launch, it is expected to be out on 2011, as you can see they've release even more clearer pictures of this car, this only proves that they are already finalizing the design of this car.

The 63 AMG badge stays even though it would be equipped with a smaller size engine, rather than having the natural aspirated 6.2 liter engine, this Mercedes 63 AMG CLS will have a twin turbocharged V8 5.5 liter engine, and just because it is equipped with a smaller engine, it doesn't mean it would be weaker, the automaker advices buyers to rest assure for this new engine is not something anyone would take lightly of.

Sosupercars how powerful is this engine? the standard 5461 cc engine can produce a powerful 544 horsepower with 590lb ft of torque, and by upgrading this to the AMG performance pack the power increases to a 563bhp and 663lb ft of torque, which would be transmitted to a 7 speed transmission. Driving at low speed, a smaller turbo will be activated to ensure its quick response, while the larger one engages at high speed.

Since the mechanics of the CLS class are base on the E class, it is obvious that the ride of this new Mercedes 63 AMG CLS would have a first class comfort and performance, and because there are complains on the simplistic interior design on the previous E class, we expect this new CLS to get its improvement, and by down sizing its engine the new CLS should be able achieve a better fuel efficiency and emission compared to the S Class AMG.

Supercars | Car Gauge Supercars

The standard gauges a car should have is 4, there is the speedo -meter, tacho -meter, fuel gauge, and temp -erature gauge there are also other added car gauge to keep better track of your car such as the oil pressure gauge, charging system gauge and the turbine or what we know as turbo if a car has one. There are a lot of us out there who doesn't really understand how to monitor or make use of this gauges, learning to understand this gauges are very important, for it helps us maintain and identify problems of the vehicle. Here we will help you guys understand the gauges displayed in your car.

car gaugeSpeedometer - This is the most common car gauge of them all, even the name said it all, this gauge helps you read the current speed of the car either in km/h or mph (will be written in the gauge). Inside the round dial displays 2 sets of numeric digits this are the Distance traveled and the Overall distance Meter.

* Distance traveled - This records the current travel distance of your car. you can reset this every time for monitoring purposes.
* Overall Distance Meter - Also known to us as the Odometer or Mileage, this helps us read the vehicles travel, from the beginning of its life until the current time.

supercarsTachometer - This car gauge is also known as RPM, usually located beside the speedometer, this helps you read the current revolution of the engine, for manual transmission you should rev it between 1.5 to 2.5 for you to be able to make the car move in its first gear, the red part displayed in this gauge is what they call the redline it means the maximum revolution the car can take, don't push it to that limit if you don't want your engine to be toast.

Fuel Gauge - This is the car gauge that helps you monitor the current fuel level of your tank "F" means Full, "E" means empty.

Temperature Gauge - This gauge helps you read the temperature of your engine, normally this should be at the half or a bit below, if it reaches more than half this shows that there's a problem with your engine temperature, it might be overheating. If this happens to you here is what you should do:

- If you could it's best to stop over and check the radiator of your car it might be empty or half full, in that case remember that the radiator is hot so you should
- First cool it down by shutting off the engine
- DO NOT open the cap, pour some cool water on top of the radiator until it cools down first.
- Use a glove or something you can cover the radiator cap with then twist it a bit then step back and let the heat run off then pour some more water until it stops boiling, just then you can remove the cap.

After those cautious steps you can now fill the radiator up with water temporarily then change it to coolant once you can, after that incident it is best to have it check because the radiator might have a leak or some dirt blocking it which usually happens.

- But If for instance you are stuck in traffic and you can't make a stop over, then you must keep shutting down your engine, you need to cool it down because if it reaches up to the over heat zone then you'll need to overhaul your engine.

Oil Pressure Gauge - This car gauge helps you monitor when to change your engine oil, normally when the car is idle the reading of this gauge should be below the half it should be like just 1/4 of the gauge, then when you speed up it will reach half or a bit more, if it reads more than this then it only means that your engine oil is heating up and it's best if you change it.

Charging System Gauge - The Charging system is the one responsible in keeping your battery alive without it your battery would be depleted, there are 2 types of Gauge there is the Voltmeter and the Ammeter.

Voltmeter - this is the more accurate gauge in reading your charging system, a fully charged battery will read about 12.5 volts when engine is not running but when the the engine runs it will read 14 to 14.5 and should stay there if it goes below 12.5 then this means the charging power is not enough and the battery power is being consumed if it continues this way your battery will be discharged and you will lose power, on the other hand if the gauge reads to 15 then there's a problem with the voltage regulator and you should have it checked before it ruins your electrical system.

Ammeter - If a battery is fully charge the gauge should read close to zero it should always be at the positive side specially when the engine just started, but if it moves to negative with or without any load then you should have it check for it may be discharging.

Turbine - The turbine car gauge is what I call my turbo, my normal turbo charge is 1/4 of the gauge you'll notice when I speed up and release the turbo my charge will be totally drained, then after sometime the turbo will recharge and resurface to the 1/4 of the gauge, and that's how it works.

Supercars | Tire Pressure Supercars

Theretire pressure are a lot of factors in order to achieve driving at its best, one of those is the car's Tire pressure, believe it or not this is one of the most important factors, with the wrong tire pressure inflated not only will the driving performance drop but it will also affect the fuel consumption of the vehicle, the required pressure is usually provided by the automaker, it is usually posted with a sticker in the driver sides door jamb or at the back of the gas filler door if not, It might be written somewhere in the car's manual, but if in some cases you happen not to find the standard pressure for the car there is a tip on where you could base the tire pressure from, the engineer of BFGoodrich, Oscar Pereda calls it a "realistic starting point," saying it has never been just right, but is a good place to start. The formula for getting the base tire pressure is:
(Vehicle Weight in lb/100) + 2 psi at the heavier end, if the vehicle suspension and alignment is stock you need to + 2 more psi all around
supercars
For example my stock Mitsubishi Eclipse weighs 3,300 lbs.

(3300/100) = 33 psi
Add 2 psi all around = 35 psi
Add 2 psi to heavier end = 37 psi at front
Summary:
With Stock suspension the result is 37 psi front and 35 psi rear.
With Modified suspension, the result is 35 psi front, 33 psi rear.

"There is no 'golden' tire pressure," Oscar said. The optimal setting depends on the individual driver and his preferences. What Oscar said was true but I like to add that there is such thing as the wrong tire pressure base on my experience here are the cases:

Underinflated Tire - your will experience a smoother ride, but you'll feel the lack of power and steering will be heavier than usual with not much grip while cornering. The After effect is that your tires would wear off much faster and fuel consumption will be higher.

Overinflated Tire - You'll experience a bumpier ride, it would feel harsh when you encounter road bumps, but you'd feel the true power of the car, steering would feel lighter (just right), cornering would be sharper, though one would experience lack of grip when pushed hard. The After effect, when you run over a bump with an overinflated tire, chances are high that your tire might be ruined.

Somewhere in the middle is the right tire pressure, it's not hard to figure out, all you need to do is try it out, remember even new tires in perfect condition loses air over time, so you must check from time to time. It may be easier to do so if you keep a tire pressure gauge in your glove compartment rather than the toolbox because it would be much easier for you to find.

Supercars | Suzuki Swift Supercars

VotedSuzuki Swift to be the 2005 car of the year, Suzuki will now launch its all new 2010 Suzuki Swift which will be at the Paris motor show this autumn 2010, then it will go straight to the market a few months later, Changes won't take much of a place to the new Suzuki Swiftsupercars, slight improvements are made, such as size, this new Swift will be a bit bigger, for more cabin space, but it would still be a front wheel drive 5 door mini car.

This 2010 Suzuki Swift will offer levels of engine for the petrol and one for the diesel, there will be a 1.3 liter, a 1.5 liter and a 1.6 liter petroleum engine and a 1.3 common rail diesel engine.

This new Swift won't be sharing its parts with the Volkswagen, since Swift has been there long before they've plan to joint force so this car is very much independent.

Supercars | Tire Rotation Supercars

Tire rotationtire rotation is one of the things we do to keep our tire from wearing off easily, the purpose of rotating is to make sure it wears off equally. There are different types of tire rotation first you should check and see if the front and rear tires are equal in size, because there are cars that have bigger rear in that case all you can do is switch the two tires from left to right, in other cases like my 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse a FWD with 4 equal tires we must do a "X" pattern rotation here's how its done:

1) Loosen (not remove just loosen) the nuts of each tire

2) supercarsPut a block of wood or something behind the rear tires to keep the car from moving while you jack up the front part.

3) Jack up the front part of the car up until there's enough room to remove the tires, do the same on the rear.

4) Now the "X" FWD rotation is to move the driver side front tire to the rear, then the driver side rear tire to the passenger side front. Next move the passenger side front tire to the rear, then move the passenger side rear tire to the driver side front, making it look like an X just like the picture illustrated for FWD. You can also see from the diagram other types of rotation choose which suites your car.

5) Tighten the nuts around the 4 tires, only as much as you can (you don't need to completely tighten it because it is impossible to do that now since the car is still lifted off the ground)

6) Lower the rear first, then place the block of wood or object behind the rear tire to prevent the car from moving.

7) Then lower the front part, after the car is planted firmly on the ground tighten the nuts of each tire again, this time tighten it completely.

8) Now you're ready to hit the road and enjoy an even wear of tires.

Tires should be rotated every 5,000 km to achieve an even wear. good luck and drive safely!

Supercars | Audi R10 Supercars

Justsupercars when you think Audi R8 is the future then here comes the future to close the door, The Audi R10, this is the future and this is what Audi might put in line for their next supercar according to Marouane Bembli a 23 year old industrial design student from Sweden, but of course nothing is for certain yet, just like all supercars out there, theaudi r10 concept cars usually looks way better than the real thing so I'm not going to spoil myself yet until I see the real Audi R10 and you guys shouldn't too.

Supercars | Audi R4 Supercars

NowAudi R4 here's a match made in heaven I guess, Porsche and Audi plans to join force to develop the Audi R4 and the next generation Boxster and Cayman which is the entry level sports coupe and roadster of both automaker this more likely an exchange knowledge for both parties.

supercarsIn the near future Audi plans to make a level of R supercars, which would be the R10 super coupe, the next gen R8 and an R6 that would stand between the 911 and Boxster, lastly the Audi R4 which is the entry level of Audi's sports car that is a 2 seater mid engine.

Both parties will get the juice from each other more likely Porsche will be happy to get their hands on to gain the knowledge of Audi's great aluminum space frame with a powerful diesel engine, plus a lightweight low friction 4 wheel drive with torque vectoring and dual-clutch transmissions for almost all torque classes. While on the other hand Audi would be very glad to know Porsche's secret financial ability that constantly puts them on top of the profit margin.

But as far as the appearance is concern, we are definitely sure that we won't be seeing any identical twin rolling around one another, with the information given so far, we know Boxster would be lighter the Audi R4 and besides, both automakers believes in their own design and non of them would give into the others design. So we expect them to be up head against head on this.

Supercars | Mercedes SLK Supercars

ThisMercedes SLK will be the 2011 new Mercedes SLK out in the market soon, since this is still a prototype I'll assume that this isn't completed yet, but if this is what they have in mind for the new SLK I'd prefer the previous model's look over this new one. This square headed new Mercedes SLK will still retained the 2 seat layout and the 2 piece folding metal roof, but it'll be a bit bigger in size which is to comply with the new pedestrian protection legislation, aside from that it will offer a roomier boot space although it will be a bit bigger Mercedes somehow manage to make it 100kgs lighter than the previous model, this will also have a sharper drive while still retaining the comfort of a luxury car.

While under the hood Mercedes SLK will offer a various model trims on petrol and a diesel engine, with the base model equipped with a turbocharged 1.8 liter with 201 horsepower, the next will be a 3.5 liter V6 with 288 bhp and top of the line AMG model will have a 6.2 liter with 496bhp. There is of course the 2.1 liter turbo diesel engine with 201bhp.

Butsupercars the final launch of this Mercedes SLK might be different, if they were able to equip this car in their next generation engines, the entry level for this SLK will have a direct injection 2.0 liter producing a 235bhp and next in line will be a twin turbo 3.0 liter V6 engine that will produce up to 349bhp and the AMG engine will become a smaller capacity V8, while the diesel engine will also be upgraded to a 222bhp.

Supercars | Ferrari 599 GTO Supercars

Anotherferrari 599 gto new Supercar we are waiting to see at the Beijing motor show it is non other than the new Ferrari 599 GTO, of course big names like Ferrari tend to capture attention but I believe this car also has its potential to be big in the spotlight, since the automaker claims this to be the fastest Ferrari supercar ever created.supercars

Ferrari 599 GTO has the Enzo derived 6.0 liter V12 engine with an extra pipework that pushes the horsepower from the previous 612 to a power of 661 hp and since Ferrari Tech was about F1 inspired, the manual gearbox of this supercar shifts cogs in 60ms, which enables this car to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 3.35 seconds and by the way the automaker also reduced the kilos of this new Ferrari 599 GTO which results to a lower emission rate and an environment friendlier car.

The new Ferrari 599 GTO will be at the Beijing Motor show at the end of April 2010.

Supercars | Subaru Impreza Supercars

Isubaru impreza personally vote for the previous hatchback model of the Subaru Impreza when it comes to the exterior design and weight wise, but Isupercars guess we can't judge it yet until we see it personally. The new Subaru Impreza will be a 4 door version and gets the same wide body style of its previous model but its wheel will get and extra inch wider which should make this car even a better gripping performance compare to its previous model.

They somehow manage to upgrade its power even though this new Subaru Impreza weighs 33 pounds more than the 2009 model. The new Subaru Impreza will get a powerful 305 horsepower turbocharged intercooled 4 cylinder boxer engine that will be paired with a 6 speed manual transmission, its suspension will also be improved that will makes the performance of this car even better than before.

The automaker also manage to improve the interior of this new Subaru Impreza, but for me personally I really don't care about it, honestly speaking if you buy an Impreza comfort and interior design shouldn't be the one you're after.
